Kenny G to Perform at River Rock Casino Resort

RICHMOND, BC (August 17, 2015) – Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G will be bringing his smooth and sultry style to the River Rock Casino Resort on Monday, November 16, 2015.

In a career that spans almost three decades, Kenny G has grafted elements of R&B, pop and Latin to a jazz foundation solidifying his reputation as the premiere artist in contemporary jazz. Since releasing his self-titled debut album in 1982, the Seattle native has become the highest selling instrumental musician of the modern era and one of the best-selling artists of all time with global sales totalling more than 75 million records.

His 1992 album, Breathless sold a staggering twelve million copies in the United States alone while earning him a Grammy Award. His Christmas album, Miracles: The Holiday Album – which was released in 1994 – ranks as one of the most successful Yuletide albums ever with sales over eight million copies. Seven of his hit singles have reached the Top 40 on Billboard’s The Hot 100. He has also been ranked as one of the most-played artists in the Adult Contemporary format with nine Top 10 singles. His biggest hit, 1987’s “Songbird” peaked at #4 on Billboard’s The Hot 100.

Earlier this year, he released his new album, Brazilian Nights … a tribute to the “masters” of Bossa Nova and features a mixture of classics and Kenny G originals. Kenny – who has collaborated with such notable artists as Whitney Houston, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bolton, Weezer and most recently Katy Perry – continues to play to sold-out audiences worldwide.
